Authentage designs and assembles high-quality lighting in durable materials, including brass, alabaster and glass. Our fixtures are hand-assembled in our workshops near Antwerp, Belgium. Our collections combine handcrafted finishing with modern lighting technology, giving every design an authentic character and building it to last for generations, indoors and out.
With our focus on materials, craftsmanship and lighting technology, we build fixtures that perform reliably in every application and are carefully tailored to interior and garden projects.
Our timeline
Authentage was founded in 2004 out of a passion for lighting and craftsmanship. In the years that followed, we expanded our range step by step. After introducing our first outdoor fixtures in 2008, we exhibited at a Belgian trade fair for the first time in 2009, followed by our first international trade fair in 2010.
In 2012 we developed the patented Bellefeu effect, and a year later came the Kelvin Killer, an innovation that gives us precise control over colour temperature, down to an extra-warm glow.
Since 2014 we have assembled all our fixtures at our own production site near Antwerp. This step allowed us to keep craftsmanship, quality and technical innovation fully in-house. In 2018 Authentage came under new ownership, which strengthened the company’s further growth and professionalisation.
What we do
Authentage develops an extensive range of indoor and outdoor lighting, designed for residential, hospitality and garden projects. Our fixtures are developed with attention to performance, durability and a lighting experience that meets the needs of every project.
For indoor applications we offer a wide collection of brass and alabaster fixtures, from wall lights to pendants: solutions for every room. The designs combine a warm lighting experience with high-grade components and a consistent quality standard.
Our outdoor fixtures are designed for long-term use and withstand all weather conditions. Thanks to the natural corrosion resistance of brass and our finishes, they stay intact for years.
We also develop our own lighting technologies. Bellefeu, our patented technique, turns modern LED technology into a warm, candle-like glow and is used in both indoor and outdoor fixtures. The Kelvin Killer, used in our Micro and Macro series, also reflects our philosophy of putting light quality first. With this technology we can create exactly the extra-warm atmosphere your space needs.
We also work with external designers who share our values around material, form and craftsmanship. The MM. Collection, designed by Gonzalo Machado and Mafalda Muñoz, adds its own design approach to our range. The fixtures start from their philosophy and add clear value to projects where form and choice of material support the design.
Materials & finishes
Materials
Our fixtures are made from brass, a durable, corrosion-resistant material suited to both indoor and outdoor use. Brass is the base for all our finishes because it ages naturally and elegantly and retains its quality for years.
Alabaster is used in specific designs because it lets light through in a soft, diffused way, and its natural veining gives every fixture a character of its own.
We use glass in clear, opal or textured versions, depending on the design and the desired light quality. Combined with brass and alabaster, this lets every fixture keep its own character across very different projects.
Finishes
Our range comes in a bronze finish as standard. Various other finishes are available, each one precisely created and checked in our workshops. When a project calls for a specific colour or finish, we offer custom work, from aged brass, aged nickel and gunmetal to any RAL colour, so the fixture can be fully matched to the design. For fixtures installed near the coast, we can apply a marine coating.
IP ratings
Our outdoor fixtures meet the appropriate IP ratings. The technical data sheet of each fixture lists its exact classification, so it can be installed safely and correctly in damp rooms or outdoor settings.
For professionals
We work exclusively with professionals who integrate lighting into their designs or projects, from interior designers to landscape architects, lighting designers and specialist resellers.
